Our Commitment To Excellence In Health Sciences
We are the home of the Health Promotion Research Centre (HPRC) which produces high quality research of national and international significance, that supports the development of best practice and policy in the promotion of health. The Centre is a World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion Research.Undergraduates
The disciplines of Podiatric Medicine, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy each offer dedicated undergraduate degree programmes, M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes. The undergraduate programmes are delivered by experienced, research active staff, using innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. All of the undergraduate programmes lead to a professional qualification and are subject to external accreditation.
The discipline of Health Promotion offers an undergraduate degree in Social Care.

International Research
The Health Promotion Research Centre produces high quality research of national and international significance that supports the development of best practice and policy in the promotion of health. The Centre is a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion Research, has an active multidisciplinary research programme, and collaborates with regional, national and international agencies on the development and evaluation of health promotion interventions and strategies.
The Faculty and staff of the Health Promotion Research Centre have an extensive network of professional links with practitioners and policy makers in Ireland and internationally. We work with funders and NGOs from across Europe and further afield and have developed strong links with academic Health Promotion staff in other countries.
